I can't help thinking that the sinus, and now chest infection I have had since Nov 22nd is in part due to the fact that I have been very sad from the passing of my friend. I waited to see a doctor when I came down with a sinus infection after getting the H1N1 flu shot. I see my Doctor in Chicago every three months for blood draw.
I should of went to the emergency room here where I live which I did after the first round of antibiotics failed.
They were thorough and had an X-Ray done of my lungs as the infection had progressed to. So round two of a regiment of strong antibiotics that helped a bit to stabilize things like before but not completely eradicate the problem once and for all. I ended up back there for another X-Ray to compare. I let the doctor know that my CD4 count was 450 and not to expect PCP. I wasn't having fevers either so that was good news. I was given another script for an inhaler and given a Nebulizer treatment, also a script for Zithromax if it gets worse or I start to have a fever. So I have no choice but to get over a viral infection that antibiotics can not help.
Maybe it is time for me to go.... to Europe that is. My friends mom has asked me to visit her in Poland in the Spring. I looked up airfare prices and found one round trip to Krakow for a grand. I also receive the Cruise Critics newsletter and as serendipity would have it, the latest one had a fourteen day transatlantic cruise to Venice for 39 dollars a night. I had to pay double for me being a single passenger but this was still a reasonable price of 1400. I sail out of New York on the Norwegian Gem on April 10th. I have a doctors visit in Chicago on the 6th so I will visit my Dad while I'm there and get on a plane for New York and stay there a couple of nights and see the Metropolitan Museum while I'm there.
I had a little trouble finding the right website to book a train from Venice to Krakow but I found Eurorailways where I can book a sleeper car for just 35 USD on top of the ticket price that is a point to point ticket making it cheaper than a Eurail pass. I looked for a flight but they want me to endure a nine hour layover in Zurich.
My cruise docks in Venice at 8am and the bus leaves for the train at 9:20am from the Venice Lucia Station, so I'm cutting it short, if the boat is late I'm screwed. I have to ask them about that when I call on Monday to book this.

Chris March is Wonder Woman
Lady Bunny just put a name to the picture of a Wonder Woman parody that has been all over the internet for years now.
It is Project Runways Chris March who use to design Bun's bodacious wigs.
Thanks B
